Strategic Online Marketing Tip: Don’t Give Up
We have all been in the position of not completing a task on time, losing money unexpectedly, losing our job, losing our confidence or our ability to perform exactly how we once did.
No matter how perfect someone else looks on the outside they struggle with the same problems and issues that we all do. And don’t make the mistake of believing they don’t.
Just recently I was reminded of this when I was talking with an 18 year old young man who had just come back from a camp experience. He was put into a cabin that housed the ‘in’ crowd of teens. They all seemed so perfect on the outside – drove great cars, dated, headed for college, and dressed in the right clothes.
What this young man discovered, after five nights of listening to them talk about their concerns late at night, was that he was just like them. He discovered at the age of 18 what many of us take until we’re retired to find out.
Underneath – we are all the same. We have the same concerns, problems with our self-perception and difficulty with performance *(athletic, business, school).
Don’t be put off when another marketer doesn’t respond to an email or when a friend doesn’t return a phone call. There are more things going on in their lives than we can imagine – and some people just don’t care.
Whatever you do – don’t let another person dictate how you respond or react to your life. It is YOUR life.
TIP: Don’t give up on yourself! Determine to be the best person you can be and then go after it. You are the only one who can stop you from getting there.
