Shortened Links But Much More

I must have been living under a rock.  I’ve used a couple of the shortened link services once or twice but most of the time I use a redirect on my own sites.

But recently I needed to shorten a link for Twitter and set it up myself using bit.ly.

What I found was that I could:

Track the performance of the link
How many people clicked the link in real time
AND how many other people visited the link
A complete history of the links
And some saved preferences

Way cool!
